Meenakshi Ammal Trust, 641, Ramasamy Salai, K.K. Nagar, Chennai 600 078 was founded by Mrs. D. Meenakshi Ammal, a true philanthropist in the year 1983. The aim of this providing education to the poor students by starting various Educational Institutions and to spread knowledge and to promote and advance the cause of education by running schools, classes, libraries and hostels and similar Institutions and such other media for the benefit of the public.

To institute and award scholarships, grant aids to Indian citizens for study and research in the fields of Education and Fine arts to make contribution for relief of poor, aged and handicapped artists or students in the fields of education and fine arts and of other things that may be conducive to or necessary knowledge for advancing knowledge and carrying out the above objectives and purposes of the trust.

To Reflect the main objective of the Trust to sub serve the interest of its own minority community based on which Telugu linguistic minority status is claimed for the Trust and the educational institutions run by it.

To establish and develop Research Centres for Medical science and allied subjects in view of the fact that the Trust had decided to establish Dental, Medical and Paramedical Colleges of its own under its control to educate the rural, poor and deserving candidates for such education and to extend all such other facilities as are applicable for such institutions constituted by the Trust.
